I, Steve Mulkey, developed a passion for leatherworking in my early teenage years. I've continued learning more about the craft, and growing my skills as time has passed.

During the last of my high school years, I apprenticed under a saddle maker where I learned to appreciate the western style and adopted many of the traditional, time proven building techniques used in the construction of saddles.

After high school, I decided to pursue the dream of making a living doing what I love. Currently, Mulkey Leather Company is just me working out of my small workshop located in Chattaroy Washington.
